Today marks the 18th anniversary of the tragic attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and rural Pennsylvania where over 3,000 lives were lost in total. For many, today is a day of reflection and remembrance and for Indiana State Distict 51 Representative Denny Zent, he recalled the events of that tragic day and how it has impacted him since then, as September 11th is Zent's birthday.
Zent also reflected on the similarities and differences that September 11th shares with the other day in United States history, December 7th, 1941 and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
State Representative Zent celebrates his 71st birthday today.
