On Friday Morning at around 9:15 A.M., DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene of the 1900 block of State Route 427.

It is there were they found 27-year-old Samantha Currier of Montpelier, Ohio who had been traveling south on State Route 427 and had lost control of her 2000 Chevrolet Tracker on the ice covered roadway.

The vehicle had rolled and came to a rest on the driver's side in a ditch on the west side of the roadway.

Currier said that she was wearing her seat belt and was able to climb out through the rear of the vehicle.

Her vehicle was deemed a total loss, and Currier appeared to be mostly unhurt as she did complain of neck pain.

The crash remains under investigation. Assisting a the scene were Parkview DeKalb EMS.
