Charges have been filed against a Coldwater man following an alleged altercation with a woman that he knows.
Coldwater Director of Public Safety Joe Scheid says the incident happened on Friday and handled by the Coldwater Police Department. Following an
investigation, 20 year old Tyler Chehowski was arrested on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and domestic violence.
Branch County District Court personnel say Chehowski was arraigned Monday
with bond set at $50,000. In addition, a no contact order was issued on behalf of the victim, in case Chehowski is able to post bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 11.
