UNDATED - High winds caused thousands of residents throughout the tri-state listen area to lose power Sunday afternoon.

In Steuben County, both NIPSCO and Steuben County REMC customers experienced outages.

Power outage numbers for Steuben County NIPSCO customers remained at 524 just before 6 PM Sunday, While 706 Steuben County REMC we’re without power at that time.

Sunday afternoon approximately 8,000 Indiana Michigan Power customers in Michigan and Indiana were with out power due to high winds.

Restoration time fluctuated Sunday as the wind continued to cause additional damage.

At this time power has been restored to most residents in three state listening area.
