Friday, June 17, 2022

COLDWATER, MI – In light of recent shootings at schools, churches, and stores across the country, Michigan State Police plan to coordinate with Branch County law enforcement agencies for an active shooter training.

The Marshall Post of the Michigan State Police says the goal is to get all the agencies on the same page if an incident should occur.

The Michigan State Police will be coordinating with local police chiefs and the Branch County Sheriff’s office for the training.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department has offered the former county jail as a training site.

Reportedly, an vacant school in Branch County might also be considered for the training.
