(NAPPANEE) – Authorities have released the identity of the person killed in a crash last week in Northern Indiana.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says the Elkhart County Coroner has identified the victim as 50 year old Jeffery Kendall of Plymouth. He died of thermal injuries.

On May 24 at 12:55 PM. the Nappanee Police Department and the Indiana State Police responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Tomahawk Trail near ATC Trailers in Nappanee.

A straight tanker truck was heading south on Tomahawk Trail, when it ran off the road and lost control. The truck came back on the road, then rolled onto its right side and slid south. It caught on fire and spun, coming to rest in the northbound lane.

Kendall was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has been ruled accidental.
