(ELKHART COUNTY) – A two vehicle crash over the weekend injured three people.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened near County Road 1 and County Road 26, just after 1:30 PM Saturday.

Deputies say a 47 year old man disregarded the stop sign at the intersection, and struck a vehicle that was driven by an 81 year old man. The older man’s vehicle flipped over and landed in a nearby yard.

Both of the drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles were taken to area hospitals to be treated for their injuries.
