(LANSING) – The owner of a Michigan based learning center, with a location in Coldwater, has plead guilty to two counts of Medicaid Fraud.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says 37 year old Kaila Oman of Galesburg was arraigned Monday in Ingham County District Court on two counts of Medicaid Fraud False Claim. Oman also plead guilty as charged. These are felony charges and punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $50,000 fine.

Oman owned Mosaic Learning Center, a facility with locations in Galesburg, Coldwater, and Lansing, which provides services to children with emotional disturbances and developmental disabilities.

Nessel says the investigation conducted by her office revealed that Oman billed the Medicaid program for services that were never provided, including billing during a period when the Coldwater clinic was closed.

The case will be transferred to the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County for sentencing, but no date has been set yet. Oman remains free on bond while she awaits sentencing.
