Monday, January 14, 2019

Michael Johnson

A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 170 years in prison for the fatal shootings of a Ligonier couple last year.

36-year-old Michael Johnson was sentenced Friday in Noble County for the murders of Justin Adams and Amanda Feldstein at an apartment complex in downtown Ligonier.

Johnson was captured that night after a Lagrange Police officer spotted his vehicle and gave chase into Steuben County where he was taken into custody.

Testimony during Johnson’s trial indicated he and two women went to the apartment to retrieve an expensive Prada designer purse under the guise of a drug deal.

One of the women is sentenced to prison and another is still awaiting trial.
