A winter weather advisory will be in effect through most of the day Wednesday. Snow will arrive and transition to freezing rain, followed by rain. Light icing is possible, along with up to 3 inches of snow.
A full call-out of #YellowTrucks is underway in Northeast Indiana, with 140 drivers that hit the roads around midnight. Drivers will be clearing and treating roadways as needed until conditions improve. Motorists should give INDOT plow trucks plenty of room.
Travel may be difficult during the morning commute, with conditions improving as temperatures warm later in the day. Motorists traveling Wednesday morning should slow down, pay attention and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
