LaGrange Commissioners Here Budget Requests Monday Night
Tuesday, June 18, 2019

The LaGrange County Commissioners heard some budget requests on Monday.

ARC of LaGrange County requested a 5% increase over this year’s county contribution and ARC’s Deb Seman said staffing is their biggest challenge. Seman said even with an increased contribution from the county, the agency faces a projected deficit of nearly $157-thousand dollars.

The LaGrange County 4-H Association requested $52-thousand dollars
from the commissioners for next year. Tammy Kauffman said there are 533
members enrolled in 4-H this year. Commissioners will take those requests into consideration as they formulate the budget they’ll submit to county council this summer.

The commissioners agreed to schedule a joint executive session with the council for August 12th to discuss pending litigation. They approved a resolution to adopt the Odyssey case management system for county courts, a process that’s expected to take 12 to 18 months to complete.
