(ANGOLA) - Steuben County Engineer Jennifer Sharkey says work on the county's portion on the bike trail will not resume until mid to late September following the June 25th cutting of a fiber optic line on Hoosier Hill. A contractor working on the bike trail cut the line and knocked out 9-1-1, phone and internet service for a portion of Steuben County for nearly 11 hours. Sharkey says Frontier Communications is expected to submit a relocation plan by the end of August.
It was originally hoped the county's portion of the bike trail might be ready for the public in November. But Sharkey says with the delay, the trail won't be ready until sometime next spring.
