BRUSHY PRAIRIE - The Prairie Heights’ Alexis German became the 7th 1,000 point scorer in Prairie Heights girls basketball history on Friday Night. German joins an elite group of women from the panther program that includes Sarah Gordon, Kristin Grossbeck, Lauren Bosworth, Shelby Fish, Tracy Harmes and Connie Everage. German hit the 1,000 point mark with her 9th point of the Panthers Friday night battle against the Angola Hornets.

German fouled out with four minutes and 45 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and the Panthers’ hopes of a win went to the bench with her.
The senior guard led the Panther back from an 18-point third-quarter deficit to draw within five, scoring the first eight points of the final period, six of which came from the free-throw line. German fouled out while attempting to block a shot by Angola’s Hanna Knoll.

The Panthers never recovered in the 40-32 Hornets win.
