Trine Men’s Soccer Suffers Loss Against Lawrence Tech

The Trine University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season in a 4-0 decision against Lawrence Tech (MI) University to end the fall season in Southfield, MI.
The game remained scoreless until late in the first half when Lawrence Tech (2-1) broke the stalemate with a goal at the 33:53 minute mark. The Blue Devils then added another goal about eight minutes later during the 41st minute to increase the margin to 2-0 at the intermission.
Ten minutes into the second half, Lawrence Tech found the back of the net for a third time to take a commanding 3-0 advantage. With less than 10 minutes to go in the game, the Blue Devils struck for a final time to end the scoring and go up by four goals, 4-0.
Trine (4-1) recorded five shots for the game, but only one on goal which ended in a save, keeping the Thunder scoreless after 90 minutes by a final of 4-0.
Freshman goalkeeper Troy Saylor recorded three saves for Trine after playing the entire game.
The game between Trine and Lawrence Tech ends the fall season for the Thunder. The 4-1 start by the Thunder is the best since the 2018 season when Trine started out 8-1-1, that also included a 4-1 mark after the first five games.
