No. 4 Trine softball sweeps Calvin College in DH
(GRAND RAPIDS) – The No. 4 ranked Trine University softball team swept host Calvin College in MIAA double header softball action 5-0 and 3-2. On the day, Michaela Hartline of Niles had a home run and drove in four runs for the Lady Thunder. Claire Ryan also drove in a pair of runs. Danielle Ray won the first game, throwing her second two hit shut out of the week and striking out 11 batters. With the victories, Trine improves to 21-1 overall and 2-0 in the MIAA.

Trine baseball team takes two from Olivet
(OLIVET) – The Trine baseball team picked up a pair of wins by beating host Olivet College in an MIAA double header 12-0 and 4-1. In game one, Jacob Heller of Prairie Heights was 3 for 4 at the plate and hit his first career home run for the Thunder and drove in three runs. Ben Wheaton of Kalamazoo earned the win on the mound. In the second game Jake Roddy of Angola was the winning pitcher while Jacob Stauffer of Concord earned the save. Trine improves to 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the MIAA.
