(CHURUBUSCO) - A 65-year-old man was killed late Saturday night in a head-on crash on snow- and ice-covered roads in Churubusco, according to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department.

The two-vehicle collision happened just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Liberty streets. Investigators say Randall Hoffman of Churubusco was driving a Ford F-150 northbound on Main Street when his truck crossed left of center for reasons that remain unclear.

Hoffman's vehicle collided head-on with a southbound Chrysler minivan driven by 47-year-old Amanda Lindzy, also of Churubusco. Hoffman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lindzy was taken to Parkview Whitley Hospital with a leg injury. Her condition was not considered life-threatening.

Authorities said both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Road conditions at the time were described as ice- and snow-packed.

The crash remains under investigation by the Churubusco Police Department, Whitley County Sheriff's Office, and the Whitley County Coroner's Office.
