(ANGOLA) - Families across Steuben County are invited to explore youth programs, activities, and community resources during a Youth Activities Fair hosted by the YMCA of Steuben County later this month.
The free event runs from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 21, at the YMCA of Steuben County and is open to the public. Organizers say the fair is designed to bring families and youth-serving organizations together in one place, making it easier to learn about opportunities available to children and teens throughout the county.
The fair will feature a wide range of programs focused on physical activity, life skills, cultural enrichment, and youth development. Community organizations and service providers will be set up inside the YMCA gymnasium, allowing families to ask questions, gather information, and connect directly with local groups.
YMCA officials say the goal is to reduce the challenge families face in finding programs due to busy schedules and scattered information. In addition to in-person exhibitors, organizations unable to attend will still have their program details available online as part of an ongoing community resource hosted by the YMCA.
The event will also include family-friendly attractions, with bounce houses and a mechanical bull provided through sponsorships from Hawkins Water, State Bank, and 3 Kings Rental.
Organizers say the Youth Activities Fair reflects the YMCA's role as a community hub, working to strengthen connections between families and organizations that support youth development.
