(DEKALB COUNTY) - A semi driver was injured in a crash Tuesday night at the intersection of State Road 8 and State Road 1.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 8:19 p.m. when a 2003 Peterbilt driven by 51-year-old Miguel Ramirez of Council Bluffs, Iowa was traveling east on State Road 8.
Investigators say the truck's passenger-side tires left the roadway and entered the shoulder. The vehicle was then pulled into a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Ramirez suffered head trauma and was taken by EMS to a hospital for treatment. The truck was considered a total loss.
Butler Fire, Butler Police, Parkview EMS, Parker's Towing and DeKalb Central Communications assisted at the scene.
