(ANGOLA) - Steuben County students interested in law enforcement careers are invited to apply for the Indiana Sheriffs' Association's 46th Annual Youth Leadership Camp this June.

The camp is open to current 7th and 8th grade students and is designed to give young people a firsthand look at possible careers in law enforcement while building leadership skills and connections with sheriff's deputies from across Indiana.

Two camp sessions are planned for June 2026.

The southern Indiana session will run June 15th through 17th at the Indiana FFA Leadership Camp in Trafalgar.

The northern Indiana session will be held June 22nd through 24th at Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village.

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association says campers take part in leadership activities and work directly with deputies who serve as counselors and instructors.

Students interested in attending should contact the Steuben County Sheriff's Office, their school counselor, or Indiana Sheriffs' Association Program Administrator Lauren Hess at lhess@indianasheriffs.org for an application and additional information.
