(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mike Braun's administration is highlighting a series of March economic development announcements, including new business commitments, regional investment projects and a long-term agriculture and life sciences initiative.

The state says one of the largest announcements was a 10-year, 1-billion-dollar commitment tied to agriculture and life sciences, with a goal of supporting 100-thousand new jobs over the next decade.

At the March meeting of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation board, state officials also reported 19 business commitments in the first quarter of 2026.

Those companies, according to the state, have pledged to create 1,368 new jobs with average wages of 45-dollars-34 cents an hour.

The administration also highlighted the state's first Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition conference at Butler University, focused on business succession and locally owned companies.

In regional development, the governor's office pointed to several READI-funded groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting projects, including a Gas City YMCA expansion project expected to create 50 jobs.

The Braun administration says the announcements reflect continued emphasis on agriculture, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and local quality-of-place investments.
