(AUBURN) - An Ashley man will spend five years in prison after being convicted of failing to register as a sex or violent offender.

The Star Newspaper reports DeKalb Superior Court II Judge Patrick Jessup sentenced Bryson Greer on Monday following his conviction on a Level 5 felony charge.

Greer, who lives in the 1600 block of County Road 8 in Ashley, was found guilty following a jury trial in March.

Jessup ordered Greer to serve the entire five-year sentence with the Indiana Department of Correction.
