(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana residents are invited to showcase the state's agricultural landscape and farming community through the 19th annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest.

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture is accepting submissions throughout June. The contest is open to all Indiana residents and is designed to recognize Hoosier farmers and highlight agriculture across the state.

Photos may be entered in four categories:

  • On the Farm, featuring farm buildings, equipment or activities.
  • Faces of Agriculture, highlighting people who grow and produce food, fuel and fiber.
  • Agritourism, showcasing destinations such as orchards, wineries and farmers markets.
  • Conservation, featuring landscapes, water and wildlife.

Organizers will select 10 winners, including two winners in each category and two overall winners.

Winning photographers will be recognized during a ceremony at the Indiana State Fair and will receive certificates from Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith and Indiana State Department of Agriculture Director Don Lamb. Winning photographs will also be displayed in offices of the Lt. Governor's Family of Business in Indianapolis.

Participants may submit up to five digital photographs. Entries will be judged on creativity, composition and representation of the selected category.

Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Eastern on June 30.

Entry forms, guidelines and contest information are available through the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
