(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana officials are in cleanup mode after AI pornography guides were discovered on a state government website.

The PDFs, found through a Google search on the Department of Health's site, showed users how to create deepfake porn, strip clothing from photos with AI, and even "sext" with chatbots -- all illegal under federal law. The state says the files were posted after a surge in bot attacks hit several public-facing systems on November 19. No data was stolen, and most of the files have been removed, but some still appear in online searches. Indiana isn't the only target -- similar incidents have hit government websites in Nevada, Kansas, and California. The tech company hosting many of these sites says bad actors are exploiting its platform. Officials say they're still working to wipe the remaining links from Google.
