(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana SNAP recipients will be asked to participate in a new survey this week designed to measure the impact of the state's Smart SNAP program.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration will conduct its "Healthy Food, Healthy Life" survey on Tuesday.
The anonymous survey will be offered every six months and will ask recipients about their knowledge of the program, shopping habits, and eating and drinking behaviors.
Eligible participants will receive a text message from 43816 with a link to the survey.
Participation is voluntary and will not affect a household's SNAP benefits.
Smart SNAP launched January 1 as part of Governor Mike Braun's "Make Indiana Healthy Again" initiative. The program made several changes to SNAP benefits in Indiana, including restricting the purchase of sugary drinks and candy with SNAP funds.
