(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana drivers continue to enjoy the lowest average gasoline prices in the nation.

GasBuddy reports Indiana's statewide average stands at $3.32 per gallon, the lowest among all 50 states. Texas and Oklahoma were tied for second at $3.37 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell 14.1 cents over the past week to $3.85 per gallon. That's down 67.2 cents from a month ago but still 67.3 cents higher than a year ago.

GasBuddy petroleum analyst Patrick De Haan said gasoline and diesel prices declined in nearly every state over the last week. He noted that uncertainty surrounding developments involving Iran and the Strait of Hormuz could affect oil markets in the days ahead, although gasoline prices are not currently facing a significant risk of a sharp increase.

Indiana also saw one of the largest weekly declines in diesel prices. GasBuddy reports Indiana diesel prices fell 22.2 cents over the last week.

The national average diesel price dropped 19.2 cents and now stands at $4.99 per gallon.

GasBuddy reports the most common gasoline price nationwide is now $3.49 per gallon, while the median price is $3.69.
