(AUBURN) - A stabbing suspect from Ohio was arrested east of Butler Thursday.
53-year-old Michael Huston of Birmingham, Alabama was booked into the DeKalb County Jail at 5:10 p.m. He is being held on a felonious assault charge and is awaiting extradition.
Napoleon Police say the case started at Love's Truck Stop at 775 American Road, just off U.S. 6 on the north side of Napoleon.
Officers were called there after a man was stabbed during an altercation. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds and treated by emergency responders.
Police say Huston fled the truck stop in a semi.
Officers later tracked him to Edgerton, where city police and the Williams County Sheriff's Office tried to take him into custody, but police say Huston fled again and headed toward Indiana.
Butler Police Department Assistant Chief Cory Rowe set up stop sticks at U.S. 6 and C.R. 75. A Waterloo officer also set up stop sticks at U.S. 6 and C.R. 71.
Huston pulled over along U.S. 6., and Rowe held him at gunpoint until officers from Ohio and Waterloo arrived and removed the suspect from the semi.
Huston was treated at Parkview DeKalb Hospital for an injury believed to have happened during the Ohio altercation.
Indiana State Police then placed Huston in custody on a warrant and took him to the DeKalb County Jail.
