(INDIANAPOLIS) - With Christmas just days away, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is warning Hoosiers about dangerous recalled products that may already be in homes or under the tree. Rokita says dozens of items recalled in November pose risks ranging from fire and explosions to serious injury and death, especially for children. He urges residents to stop using recalled products immediately and follow manufacturer instructions.
Among the recalled items are baby high chairs and loungers, magnetic toys, camping stoves, bicycles, power banks, dressers that can tip over, and button cell batteries sold without child-resistant packaging. Some Tesla Powerwall battery systems and Peloton bikes are also included.
Parents are encouraged to double-check children's toys and baby products, while homeowners should review recalls involving furniture, batteries, and electronics. A full list of recalls and refund or replacement instructions can be found through the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
State officials say taking a few minutes to check could prevent serious injuries during the holiday season.
