(LIGONIER) - Education, youth programs, health services and quality-of-life projects across Noble County are getting a significant lift following a new round of grants totaling more than $100,000.

The Community Foundation of Noble County announced funding for 21 organizations, supporting efforts that range from classroom enrichment and youth mentoring to food security, emergency relief, and community spaces.

Foundation officials said the grants reflect a continued commitment to investing in programs that meet essential needs, expand opportunity, and support residents at every stage of life.

The awards are designed to help local organizations:

  • Expand inclusive and accessible educational and recreational opportunities for youth
  • Grow enrichment programs that build confidence and connection
  • Strengthen food security, health services, housing support, and emergency assistance
  • Enhance community spaces, trails, and other quality-of-life amenities

Recipients in this funding cycle include schools, nonprofits, youth-serving agencies, and health and human service providers working throughout Noble County. Grant amounts ranged from $2,000 to $10,000.

Among those receiving funding were: West Noble School Corporation, East Noble School Corporation, Rome City Elementary School, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, Crossroads United Way, Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana, the American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana, Boomerang Backpacks, Matthew 25 Inc., Lighthouse Childcare and Learning Service, and Noble Trails, along with several other community organizations.

Foundation leaders say the grants are intended not just to support individual programs, but to strengthen the overall fabric of the county.
