Community Standouts Take Center Stage at January Legacy Awards

(LAGRANGE) - Business leaders, educators, nonprofits, and rising professionals who are shaping LaGrange County's future will be in the spotlight this winter as the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce announces the finalists for its 2026 Legacy Awards.

The annual awards honor individuals and organizations whose leadership, innovation, and service have left a lasting mark on the county. Finalists were selected for their contributions to the local economy, dedication to community improvement, and commitment to building a positive legacy in LaGrange County.

Finalists in each category include:

  • Business of the Year: LaGrange County REMC, Farmers State Bank, LaGrange Family Dentistry
  • Small Business of the Year: Bloomfield Creative, Kingsbury in Howe, Fawn River Coffee Co.
  • Nonprofit of the Year: Rainbow Years Learning Ministry, Arc Opportunities, Community Harvest Food Bank
  • Educator of the Year: Juli Leeper, Jennifer Young, Ron Noll
  • Professional of the Year: Jared Beasley (Community Health Clinic), Sonya Nash (LaGrange County CVB), Renea Boots (Farmers State Bank)
  • Young Professional of the Year: Amanda Montague (Elijah Haven Crisis Intervention Center), Michael Strong (LaGrange County Sheriff's Office)

Winners will be revealed during the 2026 Legacy Awards Ceremony on Jan. 15 at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center. The chamber invites community members to attend and help celebrate the people and organizations helping LaGrange County thrive.

"We are thrilled to recognize these exceptional finalists whose dedication and hard work create meaningful impact in our community," said Sara Patrick, executive director of the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce. "Their passion and innovation truly embody the spirit of the Legacy Awards."
