Angola’s Gaerte transferring to Kentucky

(SOUTH BEND) - Angola native Morgan Gaerte has transferred from Notre Dame to Kentuck to continue her volleyball career. Gaerte is transferring after two seasons playing for the Fighting Irish. Kentucky, who just finished their season as national runner-up, announced they are adding the 6-foot-5 outside hitter. Gaerte was named All-America honorable mention by the AVCA and first-team all-ACC after a historic season at Notre Dame. She racked up 497 kills, the third highest in a season in program history. Gaerte also averaged 4.64 kills per set while scoring at least ten kills in 22 consecutive matches to open the season.
