Crystal Church-Stavitzke, Mackenzie Bird and Marvin Baker join WLKI's Andy St. John to preview the Downtown Angola Sensory Friendly Easter events, including the 2nd Annual Downtown Easter Egg Hunt.

Angola Main Street is excited to announce its collaboration with The Brokaw Movie House to host the Second Annual Sensory-Friendly Easter Event on March 23rd, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for families to celebrate Easter festivities.

The highlight of the event will be appointments to visit the Easter Bunny, which will be set up in 15-minute increments. This setup allows children with sensory sensitivities to have ample time to acclimate to the environment and interact comfortably with the Easter Bunny. Appointments will commence at 10:00 am, with the final appointment scheduled for 12:45 pm.

Following the Easter Bunny visits, The Brokaw Movie House will host a sensory-friendly movie showing of “Kung Fu Panda 4” at 1:30 pm, providing further entertainment for families attending the event.

Additionally, on March 23rd, downtown Angola will come alive with the excitement of the Downtown Bunny Hop from noon to 3:00 pm. Children are invited to participate in an egg-citing adventure as they hop from one participating downtown business to another, collecting Easter eggs along the way. Meanwhile, adults can join in on the fun by entering a drawing for a chance to win an adult Easter basket filled with goodies generously provided by local businesses. It's an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the festive atmosphere of downtown Angola. The drawing for the adult Easter basket will take place at 2:30 pm in front of Imagine Alley, located in the southwest corner of the mound.
