Nicole Johnson-Smith, Community Outreach Director with Northeastern Center, joins WLKI's Andy St. John. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Nicole wants us all to know that HELP is always available.
988 is the new National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. And to identify signs so those that need help can get it, there are community outreach programs that Northeastern Center will be glad to facilitate for your group.
If you know someone that needs help, please remember to approach with kindness and empathy. Everyone has a different story in life. Compassion can go a long way and make a difference.
