Gwen Hall from the Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District joins WLKI’s Andy St. John to break down what’s happening this fall—starting with composting tips, how you can prep your yard waste now for next year’s garden, and where to drop it off.

Plus, Noble County’s free tire recycling event is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 20th in Kendallville—no limits on quantity or condition, just bring a valid ID!

Gwen also shares details on how you can get hired for the 2026 season as a district “floater,” rotating between counties and helping keep Indiana clean and green.
