Head Start friends Pam Covell-Anderson, Sally Panyard, Stephanie Young and Sherry Hanchar are with WLKI's Andy St. John.

Head Start is a federally funded program for low-income families for their preschool age children ages 3-5, whose mission is to provide children and families the knowledge and skills to be successful!

Head Start Centers in Fremont, Angola, and LaGrange provide free services for qualifying families.

Head Start provides a successful preschool program, but also provides nutrition, health and support services to children and their families.

Family involvement is a big part of Head Start. Parents are encouraged to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences held twice a year. Parents can also be involved by being a Policy Council Member.
